1st Steps to Professional NKBA Certification
Become a certified professional. Associate Kitchen & Bath Designer (AKBD), Certified Kitchen & Bath Professional (CKBP) Certified Kitchen Designer, or Certified Bath Designer, (CKD or CBD)
1) Add to your professional arsenal. 2) Set yourself apart from the competition. 3) Distinguish yourself to consumers as professional in the Kitchen & Bath Industry. 4) Enhance your knowledge and skills. 5) Prepare for the AKBD, CKBP, CKD and CBD exams.
NKBA requires AKBD candidates to document one year in the industry plus 30 hours NKBA education or NKBA approved college coursework, plus two professional affidavits; or Graduates with certification from an NKBA Accredited Program (30 hours NKBA Education hours plus 160-hour internship.) Twelve-session workshop for exam preparation. $100 check (payable to NKBA) $50.00 refundable upon Certification. Twelve practice exams. Eleven NKBA Certified Industry Speakers.
